PT Damar Gayatri Jaya (DGJ), Medion’s livestock business unit in Banjaran, Bandung, continues to
strengthen its commitment to promoting the independence of the national animal health industry.
Established in 2021 through a strategic partnership with Gezondheidsdienst voor Dieren B.V. (GD
Animal Health) in the Netherlands, DGJ is the first local producer of Specific Pathogen-Free (SPF)
eggs in the country. Produced in a modern facility meeting European Pharmacopoeia standards, DGJ’s SPF eggs are an essential component for poultry vaccine production and are a reference standard for research laboratories.
As a manifestation of this role expansion, PT Damar Gayatri Jaya participated in the international
exhibition Indo Livestock 2026 on June 16–18, 2026, at NICE, PIK 2, Tangerang. As a company
incorporated in the Medion Group, PT DGJ occupied the Medion booth. DGJ’s presence successfully attracted the attention of industry players. This participation became a strategic momentum to expand the brand’s reach, explore market potential in the vaccine and laboratory sectors, and confirm the assurance of product quality that is safe, tested, and meets international standards.
Throughout the exhibition, the accompanying team, consisting of Rahadyan and Mr. and Mrs. Toto,
actively engaged visitors, including breeders, animal vaccine producers, virology and animal health
testing laboratories, and university academics. In addition to highlighting the advantages of SPF eggs for virology production and testing, the team educated visitors on supply chain reliability and
guaranteed supply availability. To capture visitors’ attention, the DGJ team also distributed boiled SPF eggs, interspersed with educational materials on the definition and uses of SPF eggs.
The exhibition was further enhanced by the courtesy visit of the Director General of Animal Husbandry and Animal Health (Dirjen PKH), Dr. Drh. Agung Suganda, M.Si., and the Director of Animal Health, Drh. Hendra Wibawa, M.Si., Ph.D. The presence of these ministerial leaders symbolized the government’s concrete support for the DGJ’s efforts to build a resilient animal health industry based on domestic products.
